PRC Scholarship Program

The intent of the PRC Scholarship Program is to provide recreational and leisure opportunities for all members of the Paola community and the USD 368 regardless of their ability to pay.

Program Guidelines

1. Applicants must be residents of the Paola USD 368 school district
2. To be eligible, applicants must do each of the following:
   1. Complete a PRC Scholarship Application from prior to the registration deadline of the program in which the scholarship will be applied. Applications expire each year on July 31st and must be resubmitted annually. Applicants only need to complete an application once per year.
   2. Present the Notification of Approval or Denial for Free or Reduced-Priced Benefits Letter from the Paola USD 368 to the Paola Recreation Commission via email, mail or in-person. This letter would have been sent to you by USD 368 notifying you of your qualifying status. If you lost or misplaced your letter and need a replacement, you will need to contact the USD 368 Free Reduced Coordinator at 913-294-8010 ext. 5107. The letter only needs to be submitted once per year as it also expires on July 31st.
3. Scholarships will be awarded for 50% or 75% off of the activity in which you are enrolled. Please see the table below for guidelines.
4. If greater assistance is needed, special circumstances can be approved through the discretion of the PRC Director
5. Once applicant has completed the application and submitted the Approval or Denial of Free or Reduced Priced Benefits Letter, the PRC will provide the applicant with a coupon code, via email, to be used when registering for the specific program the scholarship is being awarded for.
