Youth Recreation Basketball - 1st-2nd Grade 3v3 League
The Paola Recreation Commission is excited to offer a 3v3, half-court youth basketball league for kids in grades 1st & 2nd. The recreational league provides participants the opportunity to learn and play the game in a fun and instructional environment while emphasizing small size games to ensure more chances for each kid to be involved in all aspects of the game.
Teams may practice up to two times per week with practice days and times being selected by the volunteer coach. Once games begin, practices may be minimal and based on gym availability. Teams will play a 6-game season with all games being played on Saturday’s starting in early November. There will be no games over Thanksgiving weekend. The season will conclude before Christmas break.
Participants will need to wear proper gym shoes. The PRC will provide each participant with a uniform shirt. The PRC will provide teams with practice equipment (basketballs, cones, etc.)
The basketball program is dependent on volunteer coaches. All teams will be coached by volunteer coaches with those coaches getting the opportunity to select their practice days/times. 2024 Season Information
- Registration Begins: Early September
- Registration Deadline: Late September
- Practices: Weekdays starting the week of Oct. 21st
- Games will be played on Saturday's, Nov. 2nd - Dec. 14th (No Games on Nov. 30th)
