Registration Process & Procedures

The following policies are implemented to help the PRC staff formulate a well-organized, fair and fun recreational environment for all to enjoy.

General Registration

  • All league and program registrations are posted and processed online at the PRC website.  There are no in-office or mail-in registration options.
  • PRC sets an early bird registration deadline and fee, and a final registration deadline and fee.  Once the registration deadline has passed, the following should be expected:
    • Sports Programs: PRC staff will get all of the coaching volunteers needed to form complete teams.  The teams will then be put together, a roster and equipment is given to the coach, and the coach is then responsible for communicating with the parents of their team on practice dates and times.  Shortly thereafter, a game schedule is completed and sent out to coaches, who then communicate that with their team.
    • Events/Classes/Other Activities: Once registered, you will receive minimal communication from the event/program coordinator
    • Deadlines will be enforced to ensure efficiency and quality of the programs
    • Program Fees are subject to change

Registration – Youth Sports

  •  All registrations are processed individually on a first come, first serve basis.
    • There will be NO TEAM REGISTRATIONS
    • Registrants will be allowed to put in special requests when they register, but these requests are not guaranteed.  Coach and/or friend requests are highly discouraged due to the volume of such requests, and the PRC’s commitment to having balanced teams, making it difficult to effectively form balanced teams.  These requests will be considered but overall team balance will take precedence.
    • Practice Days/Times Requests will be allowed but are not guaranteed
    • Coaches should not guarantee players a spot on their team.  Registrants can only be added to a team when an opening is available.
  • Each participant must be registered in their current age and/or grade division.  The age cutoff date will vary for each sport.
    • Documentation for proof of age and/or grade level may be requested at any time.
    • Participants in a younger age/grade division may participate in an older age/grade division if approved by the PRC director.  The following steps/procedures will be followed for this to happen:
      • Participant will need to register in their age/grade-appropriate division and put in a formal request to play up an age/grade level
        • Once the Regular Registration deadline has passed, if there is space available in the age/grade division the participant wishes to play up in, they will be eligible to play in it
        • Participants wishing to play up will only be allowed to play up one (1) age/grade level. For example, a 2nd grader will be allowed to play up in the 3rd/4th grade division; or an 8-year-old will be allowed to play in the 10U division; but a 1st grader or a 7-year-old will not be allowed to play in the 10U (3rd-4th Grade) division.
    • Participants wishing to play down an age/grade level will only be allowed to at the discretion of the PRC Director on a case-by-case basis.
    • If there are not enough numbers for certain age groups, the PRC may choose to combine age groups to ensure the program goes. Leagues may be combined based on a 2-year differential to ensure safety and quality of programs (i.e 3rd-5th Grade).
  • Once an activity is full, any further registrants will be added to a wait list that is maintained by the PRC staff.
    • Potential registrants will be added to a team or an activity when an opening is available, and contacted by PRC staff to register and pay.
    • Uniforms for any late and/or waitlisted registrants may not be delivered by the first game.
